Project: Dividend Stocks for Teenagers - October dividends update

In my daughter's account in October we sold shares of EMR and bought 68 shares of HCP.

We survived Harvey without much damages but in October we had a strong rain and because drains were clogged my daughter's car got flooded. Insurance company totaled her car and luckily for her they paid more than if we would try to sell her car. We decided not to buy a new car for now and share mine because we both don't drive much. I am trying to convince her to invest her insurance money into more stocks, so stay tuned! We might have more transactions in November/December.

  1. Lucky Harvey didn't have a severe impact on you. The footage on TV has been pretty shocking to see. I like HCP well below $30. The health REITs have been pretty bad as of late and are looking more attractive but I would have held on to my EMR.

  2. Love that you have an account started for your daughter! Like Divhut said, luckily Harvey's impact wasn't too severe for you and I also am holding on to my EMR position. I own HCP as well though, so I'm liking that company and purchase. REgardless, your daughter is going to be very happy one day with this portfolio.

    Cheers,

    Bert
