Coconut Oil - for better teeth and healing cavities - Part two

About a week ago I discovered that Coconut Oil can heal cavities or at least make your teeth better.

Here you can read my part one about swishing coconut oil.

After trying it for a week I made my adjustments to the routine:

My Monday Stock List

After reading Jason's at Dividend mantra analysis of ARCP (American Realty Capital Properties), especially when I saw main tenants names as Walgreens, CVS, Feedex, Dollar General I went and check this stock as well. Its a REIT stock but it's like owning a small part of all their real estate... :) I noticed they have more than 500 properties in Texas, which is good I think.

I was surprised to see Walmart as one of their tenant in one of the states.

Also I like the fact that insiders are purchasing stocks. In my opinion it means they believe in their own stock and think it will grow. Plus they are paying 7.5% dividends right now.

So this stock is totally on my list now! Thank you Jason!

I am still watching KMI, IGT, WU and PETS. They are dividends paying stocks and their prices are down now.

My Dividend Stock Watch list for this week

My dividend stocks watch list this week

If I move stock to this list, it means there was a price drop or current price is somewhere in the middle.

I do not buy stocks at their highest prices. I might miss some good stocks but I prefer to sit and wait.

Super Easy, Healthy and inexpensive meals ideas

Easy, Healthy and Inexpensive meals for people who don't like or have almost no time to cook

1. Soups

if you want super healthy - make it from scratch - boil chicken parts for a while, add any spices you want, garlic, onion, carrot, celery. You can drink broth with a toast or add pasta or rice to your broth. or you can add beans or frozen veggies.

You can make vegetarian soup. My favorite is with broccoli, carrots, onions, tomatoes, sweet potatoes and other veggies I have on hands. Cooking super fast and easy.

2. Baked veggies - use foil to bake in the oven

3. Frozen veggies - steam or stir fry, depends on veggies. You can add them to your broth and viola you have fast and easy vegetable soup. Or mix them with rice or other grain you have. Or you can make an omelette with veggies.

4. Beans - I love to cook beans in slow cooker. I like to mix different types of beans. I usually cook it just with water, spices and salt and sometimes add tomato sauce and pepper.

5. Boiled eggs - just boil a dozen and keep in your fridge for an easy, satisfying and healthy snack or add to your green salad

6. Different grains and pasta - cook when you have time and keep in your fridge

7. Salad - cut greens, tomato, cucumbers, etc

8. Oatmeal cookies - mix oatmeal with banana and bake it

9. Cabbage - it might smell like cabbage :) but it is super good for you plus super inexpensive. chop on small pieces, add a little oil, water, you can add some tomato sauce, spices and cook until it is soft.

10. Any kind of smoothies from greens or fruits you have

11. Grilled chicken or fish

12. Omelette or fried eggs

13. Fresh veggies for dipping (carrots, celery, tomato, cucumbers, etc).

If I won a lottery...

What would I do if I won a lottery?

Go travel around the world? Buy a new house or car? Go back to school? Donate to different causes? Quit working? Move to a different state or country?

Or just live my life as I live it now? Adding just a little more of everything to enjoy and sharing with others...

Just stop and think for a moment...

Swim Suit Season is here! Do you wish you had a better body?

Swim Suit Season is here! Do you wish you had a better body?

Swim suit season is here again and you really wish you had a better body… So you looked in the mirror and honestly admitted that you have extra weight. Don’t get discouraged, it’s time to start right now this moment. It’s not as hard as you think, if you are consistent and follow some simple guidelines.
There are four main reasons for being overweight.
1.       Not enough physical activity
2.       An unhealthy diet
3.       Stress and lack of sleep
4.       Health problems
Let’s look at each reason and see how you can “become a better you”

My stock watch list

I think I will start tracking my stocks watch list here. So if I look back in 6 months, I will see... it does not meat I want to buy these stocks but I might or might not.

Here is my list of stocks I am watching right now:

Oda to my gym!

I used to say, "oh I don't need a gym membership. I walk my dog every day, do lots of gardening, my tennis lesson and all other stuff"... I was wrong.

I signed up in November and totally fell in love with gym.  I swim and go to yoga classes, run on treadmill, use weight machines, dry and wet sauna and jacuzzi... and all of these just for $30 per month! I even had a free hour of personal training this month.

After 5 months I feel so much better. I do not yell at kids as much as I used to. I feel less stressed and calmer. My entire body feels so much stronger. And every time I start feeling stressed I always have my special escape... to the gym...

Why will I keep studying for CPA test... I am not a quitter!

So I decided to keep studying for CPA test.

Honestly there is no perks for me if I pass it and I think this is a reason why I am so unmotivated.

I have enough experience in my field to land a full time job when I decide to do so or if I ever decide to work full time, because I honestly enjoy my part time working situation.

Yesterday I told my mother, "ok, I am quitting studying". But then it bothered me because I don't want to be a quitter. So I guess I will just keep swimming...  and if I pass it, it will be just for myself...

So, my affirmation for today is "yes, I can do it. I can study and pass FAR"... The other three sections are not as intimidating and long as this one... So yes, I can do it.

How do you pick your stocks?

I made so many mistakes by picking stocks.

Through my stock purchase life I used these strategies:

- just because I thought it was a good company (I bought BBW in 2008 when every kid thought it was a must to have, still have in my portfolio... )

- listened to analysts and opinions (I did not buy Apple when it was down to 350 while I really wanted to, just because I kept reading articles and reviews)

- just because the stock reached 52 weeks range low ( I bought Eastman Kodak at their lows but then got greedy and did not sell it when it went up, hoping it would get even higher, and then it became worthless. But I bought KKD at their lowest and then sold them last year with a good profit).

- calculated stocks by Rule#1 (Apple stock again)

- investing $$$ amount every month in a good stock ( Starbucks was a good stock, PEP is still doing good, PM, T is ok but I bought part of stock at high price)

So far I have two strategies which work for me

Beet roots, sweet potato - healthy and easy way to cook

So healthy, easy and taste good!

I discovered that the easiest way to cook beet roots and sweet potato is to bake them.

Just wash each root, wrap in a foil and bake until it ready at 375 F.
I usually just check it with a fork. Add salt, pepper, butter or cheese on your sweet potato.

You can chop beet roots on small pieces and add garlic and oil. Or just cut and dip in ranch.

My Favorite Recipe for Homemade Bread in the Bread Machine

Here is my favorite recipe for Bread in the Bread Machine.

I like to use my own recipe because this way I know exactly all my ingredients.

2 cups of flour ( I usually use half of whole wheat or add some rye flour)

3/4 teaspoon yeast

1 teaspoon salt

1 tablespoon honey

1 tablespoon butter

1 egg bitten

1/2 cup of water

I put all ingredients in order I wrote it. Then I start my bread machine on regular cycle, its about 2.5 hours.

I hope you will like it too.

Enjoy your bread!

Just got these saving tips from a nice AT&T representative who was helping me to make some changes to my plan.

Aloe Vera Plant Usage Research

Ok, I have lots of Aloe Vera plants in my garden.

I know Aloe can be great for your skin - gel from the aloe plant will help with cuts, burns, acne, moisturize and heal skin. I should use it more for skin.

Healthy Breakfast for Teen - Smoothie

My kids love smoothies. Recently I start making smoothie every morning for breakfast. It takes me just a minute or two to put everything into blender.

You can't make kids to eat so much fruits, even if they like them, especially in the morning.

Like an example. My kids never like to eat melons, but melons are high in essential vitamins and minerals. Vitamin C, A, Potassium and Lycopene plus they are always on sale at the grocery store. Guess who is putting melons into smoothies every morning now? :)
I usually clean melon, cut on 6-8 big pieces and keep in a big zip lock bag in the fridge.

So my morning smoothie contains any fruit or berries we have on hands. But most consistent ingredients are bananas and frozen berries.

Healthy Food for today - Chicken Bone Broth and Couscous

Today I cooked Chicken Bone Broth, I learned about couple of months ago.

Making your own broth is very simple and cost effective.

I usually just use bones from chicken and cook it in my slow cooker almost for entire day.
I add carrots, onions and onions shells, celery. Broth is ready when bones are soft.
