2019 was very stressful year for my family. We had to come through lots of drama and stress.
From financial perspective and personal grown 2019 was not a bad year.
I finally passed my CPA test, which was a huge accomplishment for me because I was studying on and off for years.
I sold my rental house and still in process of investing my proceeds. I didn't regret a day of selling it and I concluded that some people just not meant to be landlords. I had this house as a rental property for 5 years. I had good tenants, only 2 in 5 years. After my last tenant didn't renew, I did calculations and concluded that at this moment it would be better to sell instead of renting it out again. I just felt huge relief when I sold this rental house.
We still have another rental house but tenants just renewed their lease, so this one can be another year of rental. I already told my husband that we will sell this one as well if next year these tenants decide not to renew. We also have international property, which I owned with my mom together. We want to sell it but due to some documents, we have to wait and rent it out as well.
Now December overview.
In December I purchased
50 shares of APA
50 shares of CXW
35 shares of JCAP
32 shares of VTR
30 shares of AMC
32 shares of OXY
These purchases will add $356 of yearly passive income.
My total passive earnings for December was $1468.51, which includes $872.46 from dividends, $362.70 SEMG reorganization into ET and $233.36 from interest.
Here my dividends by stocks
Here is my progress since 2014
I almost doubled my 2018 passive income, which is pretty good but it is mostly due to reinvesting money from selling the rental property. I am still doing pretty good though and my ideal goal for 2020 is to reach at least 18K of passive income by the end of the year. We will see how it will go.
Thanks for reading, have a great day/month/year!

ReplyDeleteIncredible and yep - if it doesn't fit well with your life (being a Landlord) then - sell or hire a management company. Sounds like you are cleaning your life up quite a bit to have more income and to have less worries!
