Project: Dividend Stocks for Teenager November Dividends update

I wrote how we started Dividend Stocks portfolio for my daughter and keep track of our progress here.

My daughter turned 20 y.o. this month, so technically she is not teenager anymore but I will keep it as a teenager portfolio because we started it when she was a teenager.

We didn't purchase any new stocks this month. Maybe December we will have more time to discuss stocks and she will pick one or two stocks to finish 2016. So far she has 10 stocks in her portfolio.

November dividends:

PG$11.76
RY$12.83
T$18.68
Total $43.27

Here is dividends month by month:

Project: Dividend Stocks for Teenager October Dividends update

I wrote how we started Dividend Stocks portfolio for my daughter and keep track of our progress here.

We didn't purchase any new stocks this month. I actually probably need to talk to my daughter and see if she wants to purchase another stock at this moment.

LHO was the only stock, which paid dividends this month $19.81

Here is dividends month by month:

We are about to reach $400 next month in total and we should be very close to $500 by the end of the year, which is awesome passive income for 19 y.o. We automatically reinvest all her dividends.

She got another small scholarship from School of Business, so it means less stocks to sell from her portfolio. Our goal for her is to receive a Bachelor Degree without any loans. So far I am using 529 account to pay all differences after scholarships and FAFSA.

Project: Dividend Stocks for Teenager September Dividends update

I wrote how we started Dividend Stocks portfolio for my daughter and keep track of our progress here.

We didn't purchase any new stocks this month.

Overall portfolio gain so far is +14.95%, which is very close to 2k.

The other day I saw my daughter paystub, she works as hostess at Asian Restaurant, and her total earnings for this year were almost identical to her total gain of her portfolio. We are not even counting dividends! So after I explained it to her, I think she likes her stock market experience so far.

I am still trying to decide if we need to sell some of positions and collect gains or just keep them for now.

Like for example SE (Spectra Energy) has 44% gain.  So we can sell shares she has and buy shares of two new different stocks which trading at lowest right now. I might do this but I am not sure. Spectra has good dividends and I know this is a good company. What do you think?

Her other stock, which is 42% gain is Amazon, but this one she wants to keep for sure, she said. It was her totally own pick(non dividend stock) and she believes in Amazon keeps growing... :)

September Dividends:

EMR$12.83
JNJ$10.71
SE$18.40
XOM$12.45
F$14.85
Total$69.24

Project: Dividend Stocks for Teenager July Dividends update

I wrote how we started Dividend Stocks portfolio for my daughter and keep track of our progress here.

We didn't purchase any new stocks this month. Although she has enough money to invest in her bank account due to her low spendings (and me paying most of her bills right now :)). Next month she will need to purchase books for school.

August 7 is going to be one year since we purchased her first 7 stocks. At least 3 of them (T, JNJ and SE) earned 25% or close to 25%. I am thinking I might sell them and rebalance her portfolio. By doing this we will collect earnings and we can add an extra stock to her portfolio. I think she wants to do it. But we will see how market will act in next week.

Overall portfolio gain so far is +12.98%, the only stock which is lacking is still LHO.

July Dividends was only LHO $19.46

Here is her dividends month by month:
