My weekly stock list (9/13)

I am thinking to choose between OHI, DEO and RY.

It looks like Barnes and Noble (BKS) is trading at lowest too.

I am excited to see that my daughter's dividends portfolio Project: Dividend Stocks for Teenager already paid some dividends last week, but I will post update at the end of the month.

Project: Dividends Stocks for Teenager Part 2

I wrote here about my Dividends Stocks project for my teenager daughter. 

Our update

We discussed list of stocks I picked for her. I promised that if by the time she will need this money for college her portfolio still will be lagging I will give her my money instead. So she feels pretty safe about investing now. 

She got more interested about stock investing after I explained her how her stocks can earn dividends just because she owns them. She likes an idea of getting money without working. Now she is talking how she is going to save more and invest more.

My Weekly Stock list (9/27)

This week I bought shares of UFS (Domtar Corp). It was not on 

my last week stock list because I just found this stock, and after 

comparing it to my other potential stocks I decided to buy this one.

From Yahoo Finance "Domtar Corporation designs, manufactures, 

markets, and distributes communications papers, specialty and 

packaging papers, and absorbent hygiene products in the United 

States, Canada, Europe, Asia, and internationally. It operates in 

two segments, Pulp and Paper, and Personal Care." 


I like dividend yield 4.1% plus it is trading at the lowest and have 

room to grow and it is going to ex-dividend on September 30.

I do not buy stocks at their highest prices. I might miss some good stocks but I prefer to sit and wait.

If I have a stock on my list, it means I like something about this stock. If I buy one of these stocks, it does not mean I plan to keep them forever. I might sell them if their price would go up a lot and I feel it's time to sell.

This week I sold IGT (International Game Technology) and bought more MAT and also a small position of NE. For upcoming week I am trying to decide between AFL and BBL purchase as a long term and I might add a little more of offshore drilling companies stocks to my portfolio.

My Weekly stock list (8/29)

This week I got bored with my regular list of stocks because there was not much changes and I decided to research and add more stocks to my list.

I updated My Dividend Stock List with all new stocks I added to my watch list. It doesn't mean I plan to buy all of them but if their prices drop one day, I might consider to buy. I added stocks, which have positive numbers and pay more than 4% in dividends.

I did not buy or sell any stocks this week.
